Borgo Pass

Borgo Pass is the name of a small coastal town nestled in a large forest called Lincolnshire Wood. A popular place of interest is the local pub, the Gryphon's Wing Inn. Built by the enigmatic gnome, Hatter de Lune, the Gryphon's Wing is a center of local legend and the starting point for many adventurers; heroes, villains, Celebrities and other People of interest. To many, the name Borgo Pass brings back memories of the infamous zombie infestation that plagued the small village for over 200 years. During these dark times, the undead would rise from the ground each night and walk the streets, clawing on the doors of the local homes. It is reported that one night, the zombies did not rise. Since this time, the plague has ended. Little is known about what stopped the nightly horde. Some believe that a group of adventurers solved the problem, while others rumor that the Gods themselves had a hand in the matter.

During the time of dragons, Borgo Pass was taken over by a number of dragons. Led by a sinister shadow dragon called Shra'kal, the caverns beneath the town were dug out and turned into a nest. Termed the "Night of the Dragons", many citizens were lost as a mass evacuation was set into motion. Many were relocated to the snowy village of Rhiannon.

Many rumors and stories about the history of Borgo Pass and its inhabitants have circulated. Some are fabrications, some are true. Some are unknown. Regardless, they are something to keep in mind when mysteries present themselves.


Adventurers

The Adventurers of Borgo Pass are numerous. Starting back in the olden times, Barbarians and Clerics of various gods walked near Assassins and Bladesingers. Sorcerers traveled the realm with magic and Bards and Monks sought knowledge from their travels. Wizards poured over tomes found in Ruby City or Carfax Abbey. Rangers scouted the area for new lands yet unseen, while the rogues built their networks across many of the great cities.

The times were fraught with twists of reality until one day the adventurers found their death moving them to a realm called the Fugue Plane. There they petitioned their gods for the chance to live again; Though some found themselves raised by others that happened by their corpse, for the world was still small then. Destined to grow bigger as most things do when they grow older.
