Dethenor
From BorgoWiki
Life
Dethenor was an ancient red dragon that claimed his lair deep within the winding tunnels of Lincolnshire Caverns. Dethenor participated in Shra'kal's foiled plot to bring Tiamat to the Prime Material Plane. During this time, the members of the secret Cult of Apep tricked the heroes of the realm into using a special weapon to kill the dragons. In the battle that ensued, he was one of many dragons to succumb to Apep's Tear, becoming one of the dracoliches of Apep.
Death
After being forced into servitude as a dracolich, Dethenor's spirit yearned for freedom. His soul was finally set free after the seventeen day battle that resulted in the defeat of Apep. Following is an account from the bard, Yannie Datson.
The heroes stood before the Pillar of Muerteazul, discussing the things that were left unfinished. With an earth shaking thud, Dethenor landed. He slowly and deliberately walked to the pillar. He spoke:
"So it is done."
"It is done. Your god, Apep, is no more!", chided Elvewyn Fein.
The former dragon replied, "Apep is not my god. I was enslaved and taken from Tiamat. And now, I will be set free, at last".
Dethenor turned his back and was slain. The light going from his eyes forever.
